The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the District’s Station 14 located at 228 S. Batesville Road (near Buena Vista Elementary School) in Greenville County.

Among the day’s activities, the Boiling Springs Fire District will feature:

  • Free blood pressure checks,
  • Educational activities utilizing the fire safety house, fire extinguisher training, and an automobile extrication demonstration,
  • Water activities utilizing a fire hose and targets, as well as a bounce house, slide, and coloring/project station, and
  • Food and refreshments.

Boiling Springs’ Assistant Chief and Fire Marshal Jeff Nelson is coordinating the day’s events and said, “This is an event we look forward to every year. Our goal with this and every Fire Prevention Week is to provide the community with educational tools to reduce home fire fatalities. By integrating a fun atmosphere with a serious message, we hope that through education, we’ll be able to save lives before a fire truck ever needs to arrive.”
