About BSFD
The Boiling Springs Fire District is an ISO Class 1 fire department serving Greenville
County's Eastside neighborhoods. Established in 1970, the district encompasses 15 square
miles and serves approximately 27,000 residents. BSFD employs 40 paid personnel and
20 volunteer firefighters operating 8 pumper trucks, 2 aerial ladder trucks, 2 rescue trucks,
and various support vehicles from 3 strategically located fire stations. Our station locations
include:
Headquarters 5020 Pelham Rd. (The corner of Pelham Rd. and Garlington Rd. near I-85)
Station 2 2015 Hudson Rd. (Approx. 1/4 mile South of Old Spartanburg Rd.)
Station 3 228 S. Batesville Rd. (Approx. 1/8 mile East of Buena Vista Elementary)
Our mission is to provide the highest quality emergency services to our citizens while
applying sound administrative and financial stewardship.
ISO Rating: Class 1 (This is an insurance industry rating that may directly impact your
premiums, check with your local agent) There are only 45 ISO Class 1 communities in the nation!
Current Tax Rate: 21.2 mils (This is one of the lowest rates in Greenville County)
Average Response Time: 3 1/2 minutes (The national average is 5 minutes)
Services Provided: Fire Suppression, Automobile Extrication, Technical Rescue, Medical 1st
Response, Hazardous Materials Response, Fire Prevention and Inspections, Public Education.
