BSFD responders provide services such as fire suppression, medical 1st responder, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, water rescue, and automobile extrication. 

BSFD members also participate on the Greenville County Emergency Response Team.  This organization provides hazardous material, technical rescue, and dive rescue support to jurisdictions throughout the county.  Members have also deployed out of the county to events such Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Floyd.  The GCERT also provides support to neighboring counties when requested.
